Phone calls are the big difference

Face to face I was managing because you get good at watching mouths without realizing it. The phone is different, you have nothing to go on. I'd gotten to texting people I would normally have called, including my own brother. Called him last week and we talked for forty minutes and I didn't ask him to repeat anything. I hold the phone to my ear like always, they don't pair to it, it just works.

One, do the hearing check somewhere genuinely quiet, not with the television on. I did mine wrong the first time and the result was odd. Two, try all three tip sizes even if the fitted one feels fine, because a whistle nearly always means the seal is wrong and not that the device is broken. Three, give it four days before you make up your mind about the sound. Four, charge the case at the same time every night so it becomes one habit. Five, the little brush is not optional, use it weekly. That is everything I have worked out and none of it is difficult, but nobody put it in one place for me so I am putting it here.

Sorry this wasn't right for you. Certus One is designed for mild to moderate loss. For profound loss on one side you'd be looking at a CROS or bone-conduction device, which has to be fitted by an audiologist or your ENT — no over-the-counter aid at any price would have helped. Your refund shows as completed.
