Bit of background, we got Daddy fitted privately two years ago, about €1,050 out of pocket after the grant, and they've been in a drawer since because he said they whistled. These he's worn every day since March. Not saying it was perfect. Took two goes on the tips, the fitted ones were too small for his left ear and we got a bit of whistle, went up a size out of the packet and it stopped. I rang because I thought one was faulty and a woman answered in about a minute and told me to try the bigger tips first, which was right. So if you get whistling do that before you send anything back.
