What they do not do, and what I do not think anything under a few thousand does, is separate one voice from eighty in a hall. My wife's family are loud and Christmas was still hard work. Everywhere else in my life, which is most of it, they have made a real difference. If you are buying for one noisy event you may be disappointed. If you are buying to hear your family, the television and the telephone, I would order them.
